A new rocking horse...wow!

Last week Nanny and Grandpa came up from Florida to visit for the holidays. As they drove through North Carolina they saw a gift for Massimo they said they could not resist. Wow, is that big box really for me...how am I going to open that?

Massimo's first hair cut at apple seeds

Massimo finally received his first hair cut at 18 months old. It would have been nice to try and keep his hair longer for the winter (since he has not been a big fan of wearing a hat) but his hair was getting unmanageably long. Besides, how many more times were people going to say "Oh your daughter is so cute...how old is she?" despite him wearing blue all the time!

Thank you apple seeds for having such a fantastic car for me to sit in while the nice lady gave me a haircut.

Maybe now that my hair is short I will wear a hat to keep my head and ears warm. And I will also look better for the holidays...especially for grandpa and grandma in Japan!

New Shiny Red Piano!

For a few months now, Massimo has been taking music classes called Little Maestro and he absolutely loves it. He gets to interact directly with the musicians and a variety of instruments and it has clearly peaked his interest. So, being the holiday, gift-giving time of the year, he recently received a new gift...a shiny red piano.

At first he wasn't sure if he was more interested in the packaging or the piano...

But eventually he decided it was the piano that he loved!

Stylish and warm winter jacket by babyGap

Massimo recently had a new addition to his winter necessities in the way of a new, and of course stylish, faux suede shearling jacket from babyGap.com. This tan "peacoat" style jacket is lined throughout the inside with warm fur (similar to the look and feel of lambs wool) and is absolutely adorable. The color combination of the tan suede combined the dark brown buttons and the beige lining (which, as you can see from the picture, shows on the collar and sleeves) is perfect. Getting ready for a recent trip outside to brave the elements, Massimo's jacket went on easily...he sat down and fumbled with his gloves for a while but it was all in good fun..hahaha.

A "Must Have" Footmuff for Winter by 7am Enfant

As the frigid winter weather hits New York City, and the northeast in general, it is time families make sure they are well stocked on warm clothing and accessories for their little ones.
